ProCode Website Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 August 2026
This privacy policy explains how ProCode ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit ProfessionalCoding.co.uk (the "Site").
This policy covers the website only. Each individual app we publish on the Microsoft Store has its own separate privacy policy, linked from that app's page on this Site and from its Microsoft Store listing, and that policy governs what the app itself does on your device.
1. Who we are
For the purposes of UK data protection law, ProCode is the data controller responsible for this Site, and can be contacted via the contact form linked below.
Contact: the ProCode contact form
2. What information we collect
We keep this deliberately minimal.
Information you give us directly
If you use the contact form on the Site, we receive whatever you choose to send us — typically your name, email address, and the content of your message. We use this only to respond to you.
Information collected automatically
Like virtually any website, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical information for security and operational purposes — for example, IP address, browser type, and access times. We do not use this data for tracking, profiling, or marketing.
Cookies
The Site sets one cookie, and only when you open the contact form. It is a strictly necessary security cookie that protects the form from forgery (it is not used to identify or track you). It is a session cookie, so your browser deletes it when you close it. The Site sets no other cookies.
What we do not collect
- No cookies used for tracking or advertising
- No analytics services (e.g. no Google Analytics)
- No third-party advertising networks or pixels
- No account creation or user profiles on the Site itself
3. Why we use this information
- To respond to enquiries you send us
- To keep the Site secure and diagnose technical problems (via hosting logs)
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.
4. Legal basis for processing
Where UK GDPR applies, we rely on legitimate interests: replying to the enquiries you send us, and keeping the Site secure and running. You can ask us to stop or delete your messages at any time using our contact form.
5. Sharing your information
We do not share, sell, or disclose your personal information to third parties, except:
- Where required by law (e.g. a lawful request from a public authority)
- With service providers who host the Site on our behalf, solely to the extent needed to keep the Site running (e.g. our hosting provider)
6. Where your information is stored
The Site is hosted on servers located in the United Kingdom.
7. How long we keep your information
We keep contact form messages and any replies only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards in case of follow-up, then delete it. Basic hosting logs are retained for a short, limited period for security purposes and then automatically rotated out.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Ask us to delete your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Ask for your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these, use our contact form. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you believe we've mishandled your data.
9. Children's privacy
This Site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally, for example if the Site gains new features. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent version.
11. Contact us
Questions about this policy or your data: use our contact form.
This policy covers ProfessionalCoding.co.uk only. For the privacy policy of a specific ProCode app, see that app's page on this Site.
